dictionary用法

dictionary可以用作名词

dictionary的基本意思是“词典,字典”,指按一定顺序如字母表等排列的,包括拼写、发音、词性、词形变化、释义、用法及词源等方面内容的工具书。

在表示“查字典”时, dictionary须用动词consult, search, turn up或use,不可用look for, look for的宾语可以是词,但不可以是“词典”。

在表示“关于某方面的词典”时, dictionary后面接介词of,而不接介词on, about。
